Serve

We believe that the Church exists for the sake of the world and we try and live that out at Springfield by looking at ways we can serve people in our local community, people in the wider world and within the Church itself. We long for the day when people will recognise that the Church is God's gift to them.

There are all sorts of ways in which you can serve in Springfield and be involved in God's Mission to restore a hurting broken world and to share his message of love. Some of them are listed here.

If you want to help within the Church we have a number of areas where you might be able to help. To volunteer within Springfield we do ask that you have been a regular attender for six months. We have a six month policy for a number of reasons including that some come from other environments where they are burnt out and we value you more than what you can do; secondly, it gives you a chance to see what sort of Church we are and check that you want to be part of where it is going; thirdly, it gives us a chance to get to know you.

Within the Church there are a number of activities that people can volunteer for.

Springfield also supports a number of national and international charities through our cell missions, and as a church we support the RUSH project in Kenya. We also have a number of missionaries attached to Springfield who are involved in work all over the world.
